Today marks the start of National Eating Disorders Awareness Week (#NEDAwareness Week), an annual event meant to increase public understanding and treatment of eating disorders. This year's theme is "3 minutes can save a life," because getting screened is ridiculously quick, and early intervention makes it more likely that people will fully recover without lasting health complications.
Food Psych is an official partner for NEDAWareness Week 2016, and we'll be doing some special content related to eating disorder awareness on this week's podcast. Follow us on Twitter to stay in the loop.
Meanwhile, take NEDA's 3-minute screening now to see if your symptoms indicate disordered eating, and to find help if they do. You don't have to struggle in silence!
